Obituary for Wesley David Jockisch
Wesley David Jockisch, 81, of Pekin passed away at his home on Friday, January 8, 2021 surrounded by his family.

He was born March 24, 1939 in Kilbourne, IL to Paul and Beulah VanEtten Jockisch.

He married Patricia A. Berkley December 3, 1981 in Pekin; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Mary Kay (Rodney) Yetter, David (Nancy) Jockisch, Tracey Jockisch, Jamy (Christopher) Noreuil; grandchildren, Jacob, Haley, Ethan, Emilie, Victoria, Dominic, Aaron, David, Matthew; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Roy (Diane) Jockisch, Ronald (Teena) Jockisch, Alice (Ed) Green; sisters-in-law, Eva Jockisch, Nancy Jockisch and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Mary Louise Jockisch and brothers, Paul Jockisch Sr., and Donald Jockisch.

Wesley worked for Caterpillar for 40 years retiring in 2005.

He loved his family and enjoyed big family gatherings. He loved his grandchildren and was very engaged in their education and sports. Wesley was a devoted Christian and a proud lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin. He was a kind and generous man that would help anyone in need.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and golfing.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Transitions Hospice for their loving care and support.

Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Pekin in his name.

The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com
