Obituary for Virginia (Gini) Welsh
Virginia (Gini) Lee Welsh, 83, of Peoria, Ill passed away Monday November 21, 2011 at 4:55am at her residence surrounded by her son and daughter-in-law. She was born on April 2, 1928 in Decatur, Ill to Bertha and Raymond Davis. Gini is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edgar C. Welsh III and Sandra K. Welsh; three grandchildren, Amanda, Lee, and, Richard; and one great-grandchild, Connor. She worked for many years at Mr. Donut on Sterling Ave, and later at the cafeteria at St. Marks School. She was an avid reader who loved golf, bowling, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no service, but her family will be hosting A Celebration of Her Life for all to attend on Sunday, November 27

from 2-5pm at the Reservoir Estates Community Center, at 3336 W Kiva Court, Peoria Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to OSF Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice in Virginia’s name.
