Nichols and stepson of the late Gary A Calhoun; half-brother of Glen (Jacqueline) Nichols, Jr and Kenneth Nichols; stepbrother of Jason (Jillian) Waitkoss, Brian Calhoun and Amy (Ed) Nguyen. Loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Tim, a.k.a. Timmy2Times, T2T and “Timmay” was born August 29, 1977 in Fort Wayne, IN and moved to Chicago, IL in 1981. He attended East Leyden H.S. and graduated from Libertyville High School in 1995. He attended College of Lake County, Grayslake, IL and IL Central College, East Peoria, IL. As a young boy, he was a natural at little league baseball, soccer, ice hockey, golf and fishing.

Tim moved to Bartonville, IL in 2003. It was in Peoria that he established his club DJ music career bringing his music style to Peoria downtown that revolutionized the club DJ music scene. Tim’s unique music style resulted in his well-known “house” music. For the past 15 yrs, Tim was considered one of the top club DJs in Peoria. He perfected his music craft in Peoria, IL at Big Al’s Speakeasy, Sully’s, Cams, Club Diesel, Kenny’s Westside Pub and other establishments.

Tim had an innate ability to get to know his audience, their families, their music likes and dislikes, he could read an audience like a book. In March 2021, Tim was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic, non-small cell Squamous cancer and underwent radiation and chemotherapy treatments. The cancer was aggressive and painful. He did his best to keep a positive attitude.

Tim would look forward to Chillicothe, IL’s annual Summer Camp, a.k.a. “Scamp,” Music Festival. This year his dream came true to play a set on stage and he closed out the fest Mon, Aug 23 from 1-2 a.m., despite being in a wheelchair. He was in his glory and element playing to the hundreds of music fans who waited for Timmy2Times to spin; he felt so very honored to play and the cheers filled his heart. The next day he was in the hospital for a biopsy and had difficulty breathing; he lost consciousness, CPR was immediately performed but unsuccessful.

Tim’s heart was larger than life. He was loved and respected among friends and colleagues; many commented on how Tim positively affected their lives. He was humble and kind always considering others before himself and never wanted attention to be drawn to him. He was a people person and pleaser, he deeply cared about people. He will be missed by many.
