Obituary for Thomas Bussen
Thomas L. Bussen, 76, of Peoria, IL peacefully passed away August 22, 2019 at 7:35 a.m. with his family by his side at Sharon Health Care Elms in Peoria, IL.
Born June 14, 1943 in Moberly, MO to August and Stella (Kroner) Bussen.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Gerald, Bill, and Emmett.
Tom is survived by his brothers, Melvin (Carol) and Leroy (Rhonda) all of Moberly, MO.
Tom is also survived by his daughters, Tammy Skaggs (Kimbal) of Bartonville, IL, Lisa (Linda) Lee of Washington, IL, Nickie (Mark) Reising of Peoria Heights, IL and Carrie (Bill) Walck of Princeville, IL.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Brittany (Chase) Wallace, Brandon (Jessica) Force, Colton (Trinity) Force, Matthew Lee, Megan Reising and Pierce Lee; great-grandson, Jameson Wallace and expecting great-grandson, Warren Lee Force in January.
Tom retired from Caterpillar in 1992. He was also a volunteer firefighter from the early 70’s until retiring in 2001. His favorite pastime was woodworking and making furniture for his family and friends.
Our family would like to express how grateful we are for the amazing and exceptional care that our father and family received from Linda Lee and the staff at Sharon Heath Care Elms Facility and Vitas Hospice!!!!!!!
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers any donations can be made to the Mossville, IL Volunteer Fire Department in his name.
