Obituary for Thomas Harrison
Thomas Ira Harrison, 93, of Pekin passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born December 4, 1924 in Swan, TX to Thomas and Irene. He married Patricia R. Rudd; she preceded him in death. He later married Glenda L. Murray in Peoria on September 23, 1966; she survives. He is also survived by his son, Timothy M. (Kay) Harrison of Bellevue, WA; daughters, Elizabeth D. Harrison Sherman of Mt. Vernon, WA, Linda G. (Charles) Harrison Swann of Maui, HI; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Thomas served in the U.S. Army and worked for WABCO; retiring in 1987. He was a private pilot with instrument rating and owned six airplanes. He was a Ham Radio Operator for 22 years and enjoyed RV’ing with his wife. Thomas was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. Per his wishes cremation will be accorded and private burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.
