Shirley A. Fisher’s life was concluded on June 16th, 2018 in Peoria, IL. She was born in Benton Harbor, MI on April 10th, 1958 to Irene and John Roland and reached the age of 60 before passing.
She graduated from Manual High School in Peoria, IL and in proceeding years received nutrition and dietary certifications, as well as a food sanitation license in order to pursue a career in culinary services.
Shirley had a passion for cooking and loved to express this by providing meals to family, friends and those in need. She also dedicated time to volunteer her services to Peoria County voter registration processes during varies elections periods. Shirley believed that change in the community was possible but only through active consideration and participation.
She is survived by mother, Irene Roland of Peoria, IL; brothers, John Roland Jr. of Alton, IL and Joe Roland of Peoria, IL; sisters, Catherine Roland of Peoria, IL and Linda (James) Gaither of Peoria, IL; sister-in-law, Betty Roland of Peoria, IL; daughter, Nasla Fisher of Peoria, IL; sons, Demir (Heidi) Fisher of Brooklyn Center, MN and Davett Fisher of Peoria, IL and 9 grandchildren.
Services are being held at the Courtyard Marriott in Peoria, IL at 1 pm on June 23rd, 2018.
