Obituary for Ruth Lenart
Ruth E. Lenart, 91, of Bartonville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. She was born September 27, 1927 in Anna, IL to Emil and Naomi Hill Brase. She married John Lenart July 24, 1947 in Bartonville; he preceded her in death January 6, 2012. Her parents; brothers, Lawrence Brase, William Brase; sister, Barbara Anita Brase; son, David F. Lenart and daughter-in-law, Gail Duttarer-Lenart also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, John L. (Jayne) Lenart of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Linda S. (Robert) Cranford of Bartonville, Judy I. (Dr. Lou) Angelicchio of Carmel, IN; granddaughters, Lizbeth Lenart, Emily Lenart; grandson, Kelly Angelicchio; siblings, Jeanette Linck of Marion, Patricia (Larry) Ingram of Indianapolis, IN; sister-in-law, JoAnn Brase of Bartonville and several nieces and nephews. Ruth worked for USDA FGIS for 20 years retiring in June 1994. She was the past President of the American Legion Auxiliary in Bartonville Post 979 and a wonderful Girl Scout Leader. Ruth joined Curves in Pekin exercising and volunteering her bookkeeping skills and continued her friendship with her Curves circle of friends. She will be fondly remembered for her jigsaw puzzle mastery. Ruth was a member of the Bartonville United Methodist Church where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 3 p.m. with visitation one-hour prior at the church. Pastor Nick Jordan will officiate. There will be a luncheon following the service. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be made to her church in her name. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to OSF St. Francis Medical Center and OSF Hospice staff.
