Obituary for Ruth Crenshaw
Ruth Elizabeth Crenshaw, 92, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Heartland of Peoria. She was born August 13, 1921 in Oakland, CA to Fred and Lillian Gable Greenia. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Case (Inma Lopetequi) Crenshaw; daughter, Sherrie (Gary) Campbell; grandson, Adam Nash (Kristen) Crenshaw and great grandsons, Nash and Dyson. Ruth graduated from Peoria High in 1939. She worked for Hampshire Swine Registry, Dr. Matheson, and Legal Secretary for John Radley, Sr., Atty. and Hollis Benjamin, Atty., retiring in 1986. She was a member of First Federated Church. Throughout her life her hobbies included swimming, golf, music, ice skating, sewing, gardening and ballroom dance. Cremation has been accorded and memorial and burial arrangements will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Center for Prevention of Abuse in her name.
