Obituary for Ronald Davis
Ronald J. Davis 63, of Peoria passed away on Sunday October 17, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. He was born in Cleveland, OH on October 6, 1947 to George E. and Mary A. Simon Davis. He is survived by his brother George E. (Roberta) Davis Jr. of Thompson, OH, his sister Barbara Irene (Charles) Morse of Concord, OH, 3 nieces and 2 nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Ronald is a graduate of Kirtland High School in Kirtland, OH, received his B.S. in Business Administration and M.B.A. from Cleveland State University. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a Philanthropist and an avid world traveler. Ronald was a member of Alpha Chi, Honorary Business Society and was an executive at Caterpillar where he worked for 41 years, retiring in April of 2009. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday October 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lakeview Museum of Arts & Sciences, 1125 W. Lake Ave., Peoria, IL 61614. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Family House, Southside Mission, Children’s Home, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, the Journal Star Christmas Fund or Lakeview Museum of Arts & Sciences.
