Obituary for Robert Williams Jr.
Robert O. Williams Jr., 73, of Peoria, IL passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born July 20, 1939 in Peoria, IL to Robert O. Williams Sr. and Sally E. Joyce. He married Bonnie J. Streeper June 30, 1967 in Peoria, IL. She survives along with his children, Robert Williams of Phoenix, AZ, Steve (Sandy) Williams of Mesa, AZ, Kim (Bruce) Heuck Jordan of Lake Zurich, IL, Mark Williams of Peoria, IL, Sherri (Norm) Heuck Stone of Mackinaw, IL, Jon Williams of Quincy, IL, Keri Williams of Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Heather, Linsay, Marshall, Kelsey, Kaitlin, Kellen, Kaleigh, Kyle, Nick, Megan, Misty, Mason and Dustin. His parents preceded him in death. Robert was a loving devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was of the Catholic faith. He formerly owned Aquarium Pet Shop in Peoria, IL and most recently worked for Home Depot in Peoria, IL. He was an avid duck hunter and enjoyed gardening, rock collecting and koi ponds. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria, IL. After the service a celebration of Bob’s life will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 at Childer’s Banquet Center, 3113 Dries Lane, Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Peoria Heights Congregational Church – Food Pantry or OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation – Attn Student Scholarships in his name.
