Obituary for Robert Paul Kisler
Robert Paul Kisler, 79, of Peoria, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in Peoria. Robert, “Bob” or “Kis” as he was known, was surrounded by family and friends.
Robert was born on October 21, 1942, to Lloyd and Ruth (Peterson) Kisler and was the oldest of 4 children. Robert was the type of person who had many friends after serving 46+ years in public service between the United States Army (3 years), the Peoria Fire Department (28 years) and recently as a Bailiff for the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office (15 years).
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Phyllis Lambert, and a daughter Julie Kisler.
Robert is survived by his wife Betty of 44 years, a brother David (Wendy) Kisler, a sister Marilyn (Terry) Gaddy and loving children, Allen (Suzanne) Kisler, Debbie Bartley, Dewey (Dawn) Beck and grandchildren, Kelsey Bartley, Miranda Bartley, Rachael Beck, Hannah Beck, Brandon Toms, Nathan Toms, Sarah (James) Applewhite and Dalaynee Kisler.
Robert enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR. He was always there when someone needed help and was a “people” person.
