Obituary for Ralph Swanson
Ralph E. Swanson, 80, of Peoria passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 18, 1938 in Peoria to Ralph and Dorothy Ketterman Swanson. He married Rita Kemmer July 2, 1960; she preceded him in death September 28, 2017. His grandson, Adam Parrish; brothers, John Swanson, Kenneth Swanson; sisters, Josephine Richards, Shirley Lynch and beloved pet, Butch also preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Timothy (Teresa) Swanson of Chillicothe, Tammy Swanson of Peoria, Anthony (Amy) Swanson of Sparland; grandchildren, Ashley Parrish, Chelsie Hunt, Ross Swanson, Grace Swanson, Mackenzie Swanson, Michael Parrish and great-grandchildren, Noah Swanson and Adkins Swanson. Ralph served in the U.S. Army and worked for Caterpillar for 30 years; retiring in 1991. He loved fishing, hunting and most of all his family. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held at this time. Memorials may be made to St. Jude in his name.
