Obituary for Neil Cargill
Neil A. Cargill, 66, of Germantown Hills passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born October 18, 1951 in Pekin to Floyd and Isabel Easden Cargill. He married Betty C. Grazar July 26, 1986 in Washington; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Dawn Smith, Valerie Cargill, Wayne (Regina) Cargill; grandchildren, Ricki, Logan; great-grandchildren, Greyson, Mason, Braleigh, Schuyler, Kolby; siblings, Donna (Ken) Harris, David (Sandy) Cargill, Barry (Teri) Cargill, Randy (Chris) Cargill, Danny Cargill and many nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Neil served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War; he was a member of The Bunker Vietnam Veterans of Illinois. He worked for Gabbert Cleaning at Washington High School. He loved the outdoors, gardening, but most of all his family especially his grandchildren. He was a dear friend to many and he will be greatly missed by all. Cremation has been accorded a service will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. at The Bunker Vietnam Veterans of Illinois 100 W. Bittersweet Road, Washington, IL. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice to any Vietnam Veterans fund in his name.
