Mary Beth Hughes, 62, of Pekin passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at her residence.
She was born February 24, 1957 in Sterling to Thomas Richard and Theresa Marie Peska Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hughes; stepfather, Jean Stinson; stepmother, Mandy Hughes; brothers, Thomas L. Hughes, John L. Stinson, Christopher D. Hughes, Scott Shuman and brother-in-law, Jeff La Forge.
She is survived by her mother, Theresa Stinson; siblings, Laura (Larry) Gilmore, Tracey La Forge, Suzanne (Jerry) Ewalt, Joanne (Terry) Schmidt, Maureen (Rusty) O’Leary, J. David (Jennifer) Hughes, Steven (Kelly) Perry, Dawnita (Marc) Schaefer, Melinda (Tom) Cosenza, Derek Samuels and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Beth worked as a Social Worker for the State of Florida retiring in 2010. She had a strong Catholic faith. She and her mom enjoyed watching competitive tv shows. She loved reading, the theater but most of all she loved her family.
Cremation has been accorded and graveside services will be held at Hopeland Cemetery in Buda, IL at a later date.
