Obituary for Marjorie Kenney
Marjorie Charlene Kenney, 82, of Creve Coeur, Illinois passed away at 5:40 am on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Manor Care at Riverview in East Peoria, Illinois after a

brief illness. Her last words were, "Don't grieve for me, Rejoice! I am going home to my Lord." Marjorie lived her life for the Lord and touched the hearts of everyone she

met with her faith and compassion. She was born on August 2, 1929 in Versailles, Illinois to Charles Henry and Helen Temperance (Smith) Hall. Marjorie was united in marriage to Walter D. Kenney on August 25, 1973 at the Creve Coeur Church of the Nazarene. He preceded her in death in 1978. Marjorie is survived by: her sister, Bobby L. Hodges of Baxter, TN, sister-in-law, Mary Hall of Peoria, sister-in-law, Shirley Judy, and brother-in-law, Gerald Dose of Washington, IL. Nieces, Sharon (Ralph) Koonce of Washington, IL, Cindy (Larry) Price, Mary Ann (Jack Anderson) Hall, Joyce (James) Miller, Rita (Raymond) Skinner of Peoria and Kim Dose of Washington, IL. Nephews, Gary Mishler of Marietta, IL, and Charles Eugene Hall, Jr. of Morton, IL, "her girls" who she helped raise, Donna McGregor, Devra Lawson and Wanda Stevenson of Eureka, 22 great nieces and nephews and 29 great-great nieces and nephews, and many former co-workers, neighbors, friends and her church family. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charles Eugene Hall, Jr., sisters Eva Mae Hall (infant), Alta Grace Hall Dose and one great-great baby nephew, Christopher Henry Hall. Marjorie was a member of the Sunnyland Church of the Nazarene. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to those who cared for her during her brief illness: the staff on Hamilton Seventh Floor Oncology at Methodist Hospital, Dr. Prager and staff of Illinois Cancer Care, Harbor Light Hospice and Manor Care at Riverview. TCremation rites have been accorded by the Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Internment will be in Fondulac Township Cemetery at a later date. A memorial service and repast will be held at 6 pm on Saturday, June 16th at the Sunnyland Church of the Nazarene, 201 N. Summit Drive in Washington, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Marjorie's name to her church.
