Obituary for Marilyn Sue Geltmaker
Marilyn Sue Geltmaker, 69, of Chillicothe, IL passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
She was born August 30, 1952, in Santa Barbara, CA to Clarence “Bud” and Ione “Doris” (Larson) Krahn. Her parents preceded her in death.
She married Steven “Tom” Geltmaker; he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Kelly (Andy) Murray of Florence, AL; son, Tom (Brooke) Geltmaker of Chillicothe, IL; grandchildren, Holt Geltmaker, Sage Geltmaker and sisters, Pam Baker of Bradford, IL and Julie Holmes of Oregon, WI.
Marilyn owned a Daycare for over 40 years; she retired in May 2018.
Marilyn enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, traveling with her friends; Linda Westart and Brenda Shover, and spending time with her beloved Cocker Spaniels; Buffy and Mattie.
She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her day-care kids.
Cremation has been accorded and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
