Obituary for Margaret Thrush
Margaret Ann Thrush, 82, of Peoria, IL passed away Thursday May 10, 2012 at Heartland of Peoria in Peoria, IL. She was born November 8, 1929 in El Paso, IL to Harry and Nora Galvin Williamson. She married Duane Franklin Thrush in January 1949. He preceded her in death in 1963. She is also preceded in death by her parents; son, James Thrush; sister, Mary Williamson and brothers, Hedgie, Jerome and Gene Williamson. She is survived by her children, Mark (Pam) Thrush of Peoria, Mary Ann Kelly of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Amanda Thrush Lessard of New Hampshire, Stacy Thrush Antoine of Texas, Amy Thrush of Texas/Mississippi, Marcus Thrush Jr. of Peoria, IL, Phillip Thrush of Peoria, IL, Aaron Kelly of Texas and Ryan Kelly of Texas and ten great-grandchildren. Margaret graduated from the Academy of Our Lady High School in Peoria, IL in 1947. She worked as a legal secretary for various attorneys and most recently for the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department. She loved bowling and the St. Patrick’s Day Parades. She was a life long American Red Cross blood donor, where she received multiple gallon pins for her donations. Margaret was a member of the First Christian Church in Peoria, IL. Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Peoria (Disciples of Christ), Boy Scouts of America, Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, American Red Cross or charity of choice.
