Obituary for Lyn (Owens) Howard
Lyn (Owens) Howard, 52, of Delavan, IL passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2021. Born May 4, 1968 along with her twin sister, Lisa to Jeff Owens (he survives) and Kathy Clark (deceased) in Ft. Leonardwood, MO.

Lyn graduated from Forman High School, Manito, IL 1986.

Lyn is survived by her husband, Jeff Howard of Delavan originally married March 17, 1986, they divorced June of 1995. By the grace of God they found their way back to one another October 2019, and were happily remarried on October 24, 2020.

Lyn is survived by her daughter, Samantha (Karson) Koetter, Samantha was affectionately called “Lucy” by her mother. Her three sons, Jeremy and Johnnie Howard of Spokane Valley, WA and Jarod Howard of Washburn, IL. Lyn was also a proud stepmother too Dakota Howard (Drew Vestor) of Pekin, IL.

Also surviving are Lyn’s sisters, twin sister, Lisa Adams of Monico, WI and baby “Boss” sister, Katie (John) Moore of Pekin, IL. Brothers, Ronnie (Terri) Owens of Tremont, IL, Terry Dorsey of Clearwater, FL and Troy (Laura) Owens of Casper, WY. Brothers in law, Doug (Kathy) Howard of Peoria, IL, Mike (Belinda) Howard of Manito, IL and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Lyn enjoyed all five of her grandpups.

Lyn had recently developed a sincere friendship with Lyle (Donjell) Karnes of Manito, IL. Donjell had become Lyn’s Best Friend the last two years. Also the bond Lyn had with Donjell’s sister and children was special.

Lyn, Lisa and little sister Katie had recently started a new adventure together-selling Paparazzi Jewelry.

Lyn was preceded in death by her only grandchild April 1, 2021, her dad, Gary Dorsey, big brother, Lonnie Owens and brother in law, Anthony (Tony) Howard.

No services are to be held. A private celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 with family and closest friends.

In lieu of flowers or cards-memorial contributions can be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Lyn, you are my soulmate, best friend, the love of my life. I promise you, I will take care of our children. I promise to cherish you and talk to you every day and night. I miss and love you, Jeff.
