Obituary for Lloyd D. Lawe
Lloyd D Lawe 91, of Morton formerly of Peoria passed away on Monday October 5, 2009 at Morton Terrace Care Center. Born in Lincoln, NE on July 17, 1918 to Charles and Anna Lawe. He married Amy Bigger who passed away on March 28, 2006 and then Mary Hunt Morris who survives. He is also survived by his children: Charles Lawe of Decatur, GA, Amy Jane (Joseph) Balayla of Stanford, CT and Albert Lawe of Trumbull, CT, and 30 grand, 25 great grand and 5 great great grandchildren in which he raised Misty Young, Tony Nixon, Michael and Amanda Cody, Jeremy and Josh Smith and Kimberly (Troy) Skaggs. His brother Lester preceded him in death. Lloyd served in the Navy and served in Japan and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a Master Mechanic and worked for Travis Cadillac in Peoria and was a Mason. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 7

at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Edwards, IL 160 Clayton Ct. Pastor Phil Merritt will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s Associations. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
