Obituary for Leyden Adams
Leyden K. Adams, 75, of South Pekin passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at her residence.
She was born July 8, 1944 in Pekin to Walter and Shirley Lenox Jarrett.
She married John Adams Jr.; he preceded her in death July 30, 2013. Her previous husband, Bill Gene Shore and sister, Charlene Hanley also preceded him in death.
She is survived by her children, William (Victoria) Shore, Robert (Milyn) Wayne, Walter Shore, Tamara Adams, Karen (Anthony) Gil; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and sister, Kathleen Roach.
Leyden worked as a bookkeeper for Boeing.
She loved spending time at the beach in California and in the mountains. Leyden cared for children without homes and opened her home to them. She loved her family and was devoted to her children.
Cremation has been accorded and private family services will be held.
