Obituary for Leta K. Bare
Leta K. Bare, 76, of East Peoria passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
She was born January 7, 1945, in Bellevue to Fritz and Nancy Jane Corey Spencer.
She married Ted Bare; he preceded her in death in 2010. Her parents; five brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Leta is survived by her children, Janet (Adam) Blair, David B. (Nesa) Green; grandchildren, Addison (Keirstin) Blair, Samantha Blair, Shaw Green, Serenity “JoJo” Green, Matthew (Mikaela) Harper, Danesa Harper, Corina Harper and great-granddaughter, Paisley June Blair.
Leta loved her family. She enjoyed baking, crocheting prayer shawls for her church and rides in the country with her friend, Hubert. She loved to sing Gospel music and she loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed going out to Friday dinner with the ladies from the church.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at East Peoria First United Methodist Church at a later date.
