Obituary for Leonard Nikonsuk
Leonard M. Nikonsuk, 66, of Quincy passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Heartland Health Care in Peoria. He was born July 30, 1951 in Chicago to Michael and Stephanie Bratek Nikonsuk. His parents; brothers, Thomas, Ronald, Leroy and sisters, Josephine and Virginia preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Kreston (fiancée, Antonia Benninghoff) Nikonsuk; daughter, Crystal (Michael) Couch; grandchildren, Xavien, Elijiah, Gabriella, Ryder, Jaxson, Austin, David, Isabella and siblings, Marie Nikonsuk and Michael Nikonsuk. Leonard was a hard worker, he loved fishing, the Chicago Bears and he truly lived “Never Give Up” motto. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was a man of deep faith with a devotion to Maryville Academy and Father Smyth. He was a man with no regrets. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Rev. John P. Smyth, Standing Tall Foundation, 1100 N. River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016 in his name.
