Obituary for Leonard Keith McElroy
Leonard Keith McElroy, 67, of Peoria Heights passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at UnityPoint Health Proctor in Peoria. He was born August 28, 1951 in Pendleton, OR to Robert Keith and Ester Tichenor McElroy. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Michael Keith McElroy of Peoria; daughters, Lindsay Faith (Frank) Westphal of Des Moines, IA, Caitlin Marie McElroy of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Frankey Westphal, Grayson Westphal; sisters, Nancy (Dale) Warren of Owensboro, KY, Beverly (Kenny) Denton of Owensboro, KY and numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard worked as a plumbing parts expert at Nailon Corporation in Peoria for over 40 years. He was an avid gardener, craftsman and he enjoyed making models. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at One World Café in Peoria from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society in his name.
