Obituary for Laura R. Blackaby
Laura R. Blackaby, 89, of Pekin passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her residence.
She was born February 7, 1932, in Annapolis, MD to David O. and Edith P. Hardesty Anthony.
She married John I. Blackaby; he preceded her in death in 1976. Her parents; three sisters; one brother and two grandchildren also preceded her in death.
Laura is survived by her children, Edward (Denise) Briggs, Harold Briggs, Randy (Debbie) Briggs, Jeff (Cindy) Briggs, Peggy (Ken Daniels) Stark; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She worked as a CNA until retiring in 1990.
Laura loved her family most of all. She enjoyed reading her NOOK and watching the Weather Channel.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
