Obituary for Kevin Matthews
Kevin James Matthews, 64, of East Peoria passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Generations at Peoria.
He was born November 22, 1955 in Pekin to Francis M. and Geraldine Reardon Matthews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Gordon.
He is survived by his sisters, Frankie Gordon, Patricia (Richard) Mitchell and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kevin graduated from Robert A. Jamieson School in Peoria in 1977. He was a member and active in PARC, TCRC and Special Olympics. He enjoyed walking, Bicycling, 60 & 70’s music, classic movies and cartoons. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Cremation has been accorded and graveside services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
