Obituary for Kenneth Townsend
Kenneth L. Townsend, 67, of Peoria Heights passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born May 2, 1952 in Peoria to Delmor and Aubrey Thompson Townsend. His parents and niece, Angie Williams preceded him in death. He is survived by his siblings, Kathy Williams, Gary (Laurie) Townsend; nieces and nephews, Audrey, Aubrey, Amber, Jess, Brad; best friends and caretakers, Terry & Mary Sopher; friends, Peggy Swadinsky, Kevin, Clara, Cindy, Gail and he made his home with Douglas Hilst, Tracy Houser and Steve Pople. Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He loved working with wood and going to NASCAR races. He worked many different jobs in Illinois and Missouri for years. He loved his dog, Moondog very much. He will be greatly missed. Cremation has been accorded and private burial will be held a Springdale Cemetery at a later date.
