Obituary for Kathleen M. Moore
Kathleen M. Moore, 92, of Pekin, IL went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Pekin Manor.

She was born January 18, 1930, in Peoria, IL to Alva M. and Alta B. James Roberts.

She married Stanley E. Moore June 11, 1949, in Pekin, IL; he preceded her in death October 13, 2015. Her sons, Stanley A. Moore, Edward A. Moore, Scott D. Moore; son-in-law, Frederick “Randy” Ladendorf; her parents; six brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Aprille A. Ladendorf of Pekin, IL, Eileen C. (Pat) Harmon of Sanford, FL, Judi E. (Ken) Simmons of Fort White, FL, Cary M. (Joyce) Moore of Sandwich, IL, Craig W. (Theresa) Moore of Mancelona, MI, Mark B. (Jennifer) Moore of North Pekin, IL, Brent M. (Cheryl) Moore of Olathe, KS; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was a faithful member of First Missionary Church for over 70 years, teaching children, singing, serving in many ways but mostly prayer warrior. When she met someone, she asked their name and let them know she would pray for them. She kept a book with many names over the years of those she prayed for. She enjoyed reading and writing poems and stories. She even had a book published about her family from Kentucky. She loved watching the old movies in black and white. She enjoyed drawing and painting. She taught herself how to play the piano and really loved music and singing. She loved spending time with her family.

Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at First Missionary Church 114 Lincoln Blvd., North Pekin, IL 61554.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Missionary Church in her name.

The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com
