Joyce Lee Antonini, 94, of North Pekin, IL formally of Springfield, IL passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, at her residence.
She was born November 8, 1928, in Altamont, IL to Donald P. and Jessa V. Lipsey Turner.
She married Philip V. Antonini on April 1, 1955, in Springfield, IL; he preceded her in death October 28, 1996. Her parents, Jessa Venus Turner and Donald Price Turner of Mattoon, IL and sisters, Thelma J. Carr of Decatur, IL and Mary Ellen Kilman Wilmert of Decatur, IL also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina M. (Ron) Sisler of North Pekin, IL; grandson, Matthew P. Sisler of Pekin, IL; great-grandson, Aiden M. Sisler of Washington, IL; two nieces and two nephews.
Joyce worked for the Illinois Department of Public Health for 27 years retiring in December 1991.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin, IL where she was involved with the Tri-M Sunday School Class, Women’s Society and Sarah-Rachel Circle. She was also in the Pekin Women’s Club.
Cremation has been accorded and she will be laid to rest with her husband at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Animal Shelter of the donor’s choice in her name.
