Obituary for Jon E. Morgan
Jon E. Morgan 72, of East Peoria passed away on Tuesday March 24, at his residence. Born in Havana, IL on July 2, 1936 to Cornelius (Connie) and Olive A. Horner Morgan. He married Sarah Walls in Creve Coeur on November 18, 1960, she survives along with his daughters; Robin (Mark) Piquard and Wendy (Gery) Blackburn both of East Peoria, daughter-in-law Renee Morgan of Creve Coeur, sisters; Sue (Gene) Singley and Sharon Bernhausen both of Pekin, brother Dr. James I. Morgan of Gainesville, FL and his 6 grand, 6 great grand and 2 step-grandchildren. His parents, step-mother Helen Morgan and son John Jeffrey (Jeff) Morgan preceded him in death. Jon was in the Army and served in the Korean War and was a member of the Ther Herzo Survivors. He was a Carman for the P & PU Railroad, retiring in 2001 and a member of the Creve Coeur Christian Church. Cremation has been accorded and private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Creve Coeur Christian Church. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
