Obituary for Johnny Mike Merriman
Johnny “Mike” Merriman, 70, of Peoria passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at OSF St. Frances Medical Center in Peoria. He was born November 8, 1946 in Peoria to Labon "Dutch" and Daisy Lee Gibbs Merriman. His parents and brother, Timmothy preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons, Mike Merriman of Pekin, Shawn Merriman of New York; daughter, Stacey Merriman of Peoria; brothers, Denny (Becky) Merriman of Bartonville, Dean (Marcia) Merriman of Bellevue, Phillip (Bonnie) Merriman of Trivoli; sisters, Barb (Del) Rickena of Peoria, Debbie Gray of Bartonville and many nieces and nephews. He worked for Labors Local 165; retiring in 2002. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and a graveside service will be held at Swan Lake Memory Garden in Peoria at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in his name.
