John M. Heath, 67, of Chillicothe passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Proctor in Peoria.
He was born May 10, 1954 in Peoria to Walter H. and Willie Mae Daniel Heath. His parents preceded him in death.
He married Joyce L. Crisp June 7, 1975 in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Mandy (Kris) Lancaster, Johnie (Raymond McCoy) Schertz; grandchildren, Cherokee (Rebeca), Blaise (Brooke), Kiara, Jett, Bailey, Creedon; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Lakyn and siblings, Jerry (Tonya) Heath and Carolyn (Ray) Vernon.
John worked for Caterpillar for 35 years, retiring July 1, 2013. He loved his family very much and his top priority was his grandkids. He enjoyed golfing, Harleys, vanning, music, fishing, and camping. He was a member of Timberlake Country Club. “Just have a Jack & Coke and a smile for me.”
Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date.
