Obituary for Joan Evans
Joan S. Evans, 83, of Peoria Heights passed away Saturday evening, April 28, 2018 at Liberty Village Nursing Home in Peoria.
She was born on January 10, 1935 in Monticello, Illinois to William and Jewell (Jividen) Richman.
Joan married Raymond Evans on July 16,1976 in Peoria Heights. She was proceeded in death by her husband on December 5, 2009; her parents and one brother.
Surviving are her aunt, Vera Myers of Charleston, Illinois; cousin, Judy Peterson of Arlington Heights, Illinois and her nephew and longtime caregiver, Russell (Cathy) Evans of Pekin, Illinois.
Joan attended the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, Illinois and worked for many years at Goodwill Industries in Peoria.
Cremation has been accorded and Inurnment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum, in Peoria.
A committal service will be held on May 4th at 11:00 am at Resurrection Mausoleum 7519 N Allen Rd in Peoria (visitation 30 minutes prior).
Memorials may be made to TAPS Animal Shelter, 100 Taps Ln, Pekin Illinois.
