Obituary for Jerry Hostetter
Jerry Edward Hostetter, 86, of Marquette Heights passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born December 4, 1933 in Peoria to Clarence and Rose Guditio Hostetter.
He married Connie Darlene Hankins September 13, 1993 in Galesburg; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Steve Hostetter, Connie Lynn (Rick) Hostetter; grandchildren, Dennis Ray Hostetter, Billie Jo (D.J.) Neuman, Jennifer (Joe) Gillmore, Jamie Harper, Ahren (Chellie) Pope, Brandon Pope, Kimberly Pope, Sean Pope; great-grandchildren, Michela, Austin, Riley, Derek, Kloie, Alexander, Lynelle; siblings, Roger Hostetter, Judy Grier, Marsha Nix, Carol Greer, Katherine Sullivan and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald Hostetter; brother Bill Hostetter and first wife, Ruth Lynette Hostetter.
Jerry worked as a semitruck driver until retiring in 2000. He loved driving his semi. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandkids. He enjoyed his computer and traveling. Jerry also loved garage sales, flea markets, his family Doctor Daniel Brune and animals, especially his dogs.
Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
