Janet Faye (Galvin) Brown, 81, of Peoria, IL passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, August 29, 2022, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.
She was born March 5, 1941, in West Frankfort, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eva and Guido Magnabosco; daughter, Pannette Gentil, and sister, Donna Roos.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlet McGovern, Kelly (John) Johnson and grandchildren, Sarah Gentil, Jack Johnson, Molly McGovern, Anna McGovern, and Joe Johnson.
Janet was a spirited, loving mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She was engaging, funny and unapologetically herself. She was artistic, tasteful and had a beautiful and unique style of her own. She previously managed Paul Harris Clothing Store in the Pekin Mall and owned and operated Weinstein’s Bar & Restaurant in East Peoria, IL for many years.
Janet will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cremation has been accorded and private services will be held.
