Janet Ann Henricks passed on Sunday October 27th 2019. She was born Janet Ann Singley on June 11, 1941 to Ruth and Delbert Singley of Mason City, Illinois. Janet spent her growing
years living with her parents and six siblings, attending and graduating from school in Mason
City.

After graduating from high school, Janet moved to Springfield, Illinois to work in quality control
for Illinois Bell. When Janet was 21, she met her future husband James Edwin Downing whom

home on Coolidge Ave in Pekin Illinois. With that marriage, Janet was blessed with another
daughter, Cheryl, from Terry's first marriage. After 5 years as husband and wife, Janet and
Terry made the decision to grow their family and their son Brandon Alan joined them on August 28,1980.

After their youngest was in school, Janet made the decision to get her real estate license. She
enjoyed working as a realtor first for Coldwell Banker for 6 years before transitioning to TopHat
Realty for another 2. For Janet, there was never any priority higher than her family. She was a
homemaker and caregiver and gave of herself freely. Janet and Terry spent 44 happily married
