Obituary for Gladys Missal
Gladys Elaine Missal, 65, of Peoria passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born July 6, 1952 in Kankakee to Elmer L. and Ester I. Jones Murray. She married Rodger Darrow; he preceded her in death. She later married Gerald Missal; he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Lisa Martens; son, Gary (Jenny) Darrow; grandchildren, Griffin, Jadin, Cassidy; brother, Doug Murray and sister, Marsha Eggers. Her parents; brothers, Gary, Eddie, Thomas and sisters, Cheryl Pullen and Rhonda Murray also preceded her in death. Gladys worked for Foster & Gallagher; retiring in 2001. She loved and cared for her grandchildren, family and pets. She enjoyed dancing, music, reading books, playing cards and telling stories. Cremation has been accorded and a graveside service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria with a celebration of life following the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria in her name.
