Obituary for George Chamberlain
George E. Chamberlain, 72, of Manito passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Pekin Hospital. He was born February 19, 1942 in Peoria to Paul and Grace Ihnes Chamberlain. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ervin Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Christina Kay Chamberlain of Pekin; sons, Greg Alen Chamberlain of Manito, Douglas Eldon Chamberlain of Pekin; grandchildren, Jessee Chamberlain, Leighanna Naw, Erica Naw; three great-grandchildren; half-sister, Paula and two nieces and one nephew. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Caterpillar retiring in 1994. A visitation will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded following the service. A graveside service with military rites will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Trivoli. Pastor Todd Shaw will officiate. There were angels in waiting in loving memory, his daughter.
