Gary L. Anske, 75, of Peoria passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born November 23, 1946, in Peoria to Frederick Eugene and Joyce Louise Thomas Anske. His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his devoted life partner, Sarah Jones; children, Eric (Holly) Anske, Joan (Murph) Murphy, Jason Anske; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl (Dave) Richards; several nephews and one niece.
Gary served in the U.S. Air Force in Thailand during the Vietnam War and worked as a concrete finisher.
He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He loved spending time outdoors especially on his riding mowers. He also loved animals, especially his cats.
Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.
Memorials may be made to TAPS or PAWS in his name.
