Florence Alice Dilley 90, of Peoria passed away on Wednesday June 1, 2011 at Rosewood Care Center in Peoria. She was born May 12, 1921 in Kewanee, IL to Thomas and Clara VanOverburg Currier. She married James L. Dilley Jr. April 22, 1947 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2003. She is also preceded in death by her parents, son; Zachary Dilley, granddaughter; Nicole Miles, 3 sisters; Verle Morrissey, Mary Cotten, Ruby Bennett, 1 step-brother-in-law and 1 step-sister-in-law. She is survived by her 3 daughters; Madeline Dilley of Peoria, Alicia Stice of East Peoria, Rebecca Miles of Peoria, 2 grandchildren; Jennifer (Bryan) Down of Wyoming, IL, Nicholas Bland of Peoria, 2 great-grandchildren; Payton Down, Kayla Down and 1 step-sister-in-law; Jean Clugsten. Florence served in WAC, Womens Army Corps during WWII from February 1943 to December 1945. Cremation has been accorded and private graveside services will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.
