Eusebio “Willie” Soler-Rios, 88, of Pekin passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at his residence.
He was born March 8, 1932 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to Bartolo Soler and Maria Rios.
He married Acte Morales August 9, 1958 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Chris (Glory) Soler, Edgar (Jodi) Soler, Dinah Soler; grandchildren, Nicole (Ryne) Dougherty, David (Jose) Soler, Danielle (Gabriel) Martinez, Melissa (Casey) Lovell, Madalyn Soler, Christian Soler, Samantha Soler; great-grandchildren, Matilda, Mia, Declan, Ari, Finley, Phoebe; two brothers and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Willie journeyed from his native country Puerto Rico and settled in New York and began working and then started a new life with his wife, Acte and his children. He afforded his children every opportunity to excel in life. He loved gardening, working and most of all his family. He will be greatly missed.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
