Obituary for Emma Browning
Emma Jane Browning, 79, of Creve Coeur passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. She was born October 5, 1940 in Monroe City, MO to Adolphus and Mary Irene Horton Scobee. She married Robert Gordon Browning October 2, 1958 in Peoria; he preceded her in death March 19, 2019. Her parents; sister, Doris Scobee and son-in-law, David Johnson also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Tim (Loy Spurgeon) Browning, Jeff Browning, Jane Johnson, Robin (Ho) Chan, Christina (Michael) Woody, Daniel (Agnes) Browning, Michael (Shauna) Browning, Juliane (Harmon) Lingle, Jennifer (William) Hofstetter; 24 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and brother, Robert Scobee. Emma enjoyed the outdoors, walking and watching movies. She loved her animals and family especially her grandchildren. Per her wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
