Obituary for Donald "Donnie" Waldrop Sr.
Donald "Donnie" R. Waldrop Sr., 58, of Peoria passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at his residence.
He was born March 8, 1962 in Peoria to Ed and Naomi Foster Waldrop Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Calzavara and brothers, Eddie Waldrop, and Jon Calzavara Sr.
He is survived by his children, Mickey Waldrop, Donald Waldrop Jr., Emily (fiancée, Cameron Baker) Waldrop, Brice Waldrop, Amber (Joel) Lohmeyer; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his devoted ex-wife, Michelle Waldrop; siblings, Tammi Waldrop, Roger Waldrop, Dennis Waldrop, Lisa Osborne, Lori Kern and many nieces and nephews.
Donald was baptized and saved at Lutheran Memorial Church in Quincy. His laugh was contagious and hardy sarcasm was a second language to him. He was very stubborn and was a fighter until the end. He loved to clean, riding his Harley, a cold beer, and his music. Most of all he loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
