Obituary for Derek T. Guppy
Derek T. Guppy, 39, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at his residence.
He was born October 13, 1982, in Peoria to Thomas and Theresa Flatka Guppy.
He married Alice M. Belin January 29, 2009, in Fulton County; she survives. He is also survived by his twin sons, Michael Belin and Evan Belin; siblings, Brittany Guppy, Ashley Deckor; many nieces and nephews; father, Thomas Guppy; his grandmothers and mother-in-law, Rhonda Belin.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Guppy; his grandfathers; brother, Dallas Baker and brother-in-law, Bobby Boucher.
Derek worked as a welder. He loved his family. He also loved music and playing the guitar. He enjoyed working outdoors.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Avanti’s in Pekin.
Memorials may be made to his twins.
