Dennis “Denny” R. Ward, 59, of Canton passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at his residence.
He was born March 21, 1960 in Canton to Shelby and Mabel Neidig Ward.
He married Teresa J. Gore August 18, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV; she survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Nicky (Kyle) Romine; grandchildren, Austin Wilcoxen, Rylan Romine, Karter Romine; siblings, Debbie Slaight, Sheila (Ron) Robbins, Michael (Vicki) Ward and many friends. His parents preceded him in death.
Denny worked at Farmington Country Manner for 25 years as the head of maintenance.
Denny was a friend to everyone he met, an easy-going personality that was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, camping, fishing and anything that had to do with motorcycles. Denny was proud of his work and the life he built with his wife Teresa.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the American Legion 550 S. 4th Ave., Canton, IL 61520.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society in his name.
