Obituary for Deana R. Strange
Deana R Strange, 38, of South Pekin passed away on Wednesday January 20, 2010 in the ER at Pekin Hospital. Born in Pekin on September 15, 1971 to Donald and Dorotheia Strope Smith. She married Larry Strange in South Pekin on June 17, 1990. Deana is survived by her daughter Nicole Strange of South Pekin, sister Dawn Green of Pekin, brothers; Dale (Kim) of Deltona, FL, Darren of Pekin and Dana (Amy) Smith of Peoria. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog “Hamster”. Her parents preceded her in death. Deana worked as a Medical Assistant at OSF HeartCare Midwest in Peoria and was the number one fan of her nephews’ band, Shadows Inc. A funeral mass will be held on Monday January 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin at 10 a.m. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate and cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Burial of her cremains will be on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin at 10 a.m. Her visitation will be on Sunday January 24th at Abts Mortuary from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Abts Mortuary.
