Obituary for Betty Livengood
Betty Iris Livengood, 86, of Bartonville passed away Wednesday February 29, 2012 at Morton Terrace in Morton. She was born March 25, 1925 in Waukegan, IL to Ira and Mabel Miller Jaquet. She married James Livengood May 14, 1953 in Bartonville. He survives along with her children, Ricky (Nellie) Livengood of Peoria and Larry Farrell of Rockford. She is also survived by her four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Cliff Jaquet. Betty worked many years at Oak Grove Grade School. She also was a long time member of the Senior Citizen Hollis Park District. She enjoyed camping and record keeping of her many trips through out the country visiting most states plus Canada and three trips to Alaska. She also had a great love for her family and an endearing love for cats. Cremation has been accorded and a private family memorial dinner will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Morton Terrace Nursing Home, the Alzheimer’s Unit in her name.
