Obituary for Ashley Michelle Monroe
Ashley Michelle Monroe departed this world on January 7, 2022 at the young age of 39 years old. She was born on February 27, 1982 in Ottawa, Illinois to Lisa Day and Craig Monroe.
She leaves behind Kyle Whelchel, her partner of 15 years and their two dogs Mugsy and Sissy. Both parents Lisa (Richard Lehnhausen) and Craig Monore. Two sisters, Haley (Brandon) Monical and Helena Lehnhausen (Kurt Schoolman), two half-sisters, Lacy Haefli and Emliy Monroe. Nephews Colin, Liam and niece Zephyr. She was so proud and happy to be an Aunt. She loved her nephews and niece so much! She leaves behind many family members that include Aunts Uncles and many cousins. She was proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents Michael and Maddy, her paternal grandparents Karen and Jerry, as well as her great grandparents.
Ashley enjoyed four wheeling, fishing (except for taking the fish off the hook…lol), camping (just NOT in a tent please), boating and motorcycle rides. She was proud of her flower garden and enjoyed cooking new things to test out on Kyle. And of course, her DALLAS COWBOYS!!!
The loss of our daughter, partner, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend will forever leave a mark on our lives and a hold in our hearts. She left this earth too soon. She was a diamond in the rough, a beautiful soul. Someone that you wanted on your side, and wanted on your team. If she could do it for you, then she would. She was such a good friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Ashley’s Facebook page will remain open and you are encouraged to share any memories and pictures. A Celebration for Life will he held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 12pm-4pm at the Lions Club 3707 Airport Road, Bartonville, Illinois.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com
