Obituary for Alma E. Curtis
Alma E. Curtis 93, of 230 Court St. Apt 210 Pekin passed away on Monday June 23, at Pekin Hospital. Born in Decatur on July 3, 1914 to Max and Helen Alshefski Sadowski. She married Orville M. Curtis in Bloomfield, IA on Nov 5, 1938, he preceded her in death in 1968. Alma is survived by her son Donald of Pekin and her 6 grandchildren. She worked for 22 years at Carson Pirie Scott, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pekin. Graveside services will be held today (June 27, ) at 2 p.m. at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Rev. Kurt Mews will officiate. Abts Mortuary has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
