Obituary for Willie Morris
Mr. Willie C. Morris passed away peacefully at his home on November 13, 2017 at 3:00a.m. at the age of 69 surrounded by his love ones. He was born August 15, 1948 in Shreveport, LA to Katie B. Morris.
He is survived by long-time companion, Martina Rutherford of Peoria, IL; four daughters, Nicole (Javier) Ocon of Peoria, IL, Monica Rutherford of Chandler, AZ, Marcina (Corey) Lee of West Peoria, IL and Rasonya (Michael) Smith of Peoria, IL and one sister, Doris McLaurin of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He also leaves behind a host of adoring friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Willie was a loving companion, father and grandfather. He graduated from Homer High School in 1967, then joined the U.S. Air Force in 1968 serving 4 years and being discharged in 1972. Willie relocated to Peoria, IL in 1973 working for Keystone Steel & Wire; as a devoted worker he served 34 years before retiring in February 2007.
Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
