Who We Are
The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. operates on a membership basis, although our doors are always open to nonmembers. Members of the Society are a group of people united in the belief that cremation is a dignified method of disposition. Society members come from all social, religious and economic backgrounds. They find unity in their mutual attraction to the simplicity of the cremation rite. Since 1996 when the Society first started, we have helped thousands of people in their times of loss. Each year more and more people join our Society.
When you become a member of our Society, you make all your arrangements in advance. Advance arrangements relieve survivors of the necessity of making urgent decisions in the midst of their grief. Preplanning provides families with complete peace of mind, both emotionally and financially.
Our Society members pay a one-time non-refundable, non-transferable fee of $ 50.00*. This nominal charge covers the cost of setting up and maintaining your records for life. We meet with you, discuss alternatives, and keep records of your decisions. As a member, you may pre-finance the arrangements you prefer at today’s price. Alternatively, you may opt to pay for Society services on an at need basis.
